Each initiative is carefully designed to address critical community needs—ranging from women’s empowerment and digital literacy to climate action and youth entrepreneurship. Through hands-on training, education, and inclusive development programs, we empower individuals to create lasting impact in their lives and communities. Education Support
GYDO’s Education Support program is dedicated to helping underprivileged children and youth access quality learning opportunities. Through the distribution of school supplies, tuition support, literacy workshops, and community-based learning sessions, we aim to reduce educational inequality and encourage continued schooling. Our focus is on creating a supportive environment where every child has the chance to learn, grow, and reach their full potential—regardless of their background.
Health Support for Women, Children, and the Ultra-Poor
GYDO’s health support initiatives focus on improving access to basic healthcare services for women, children, and extremely poor families. We organize medical camps, nutrition awareness sessions, hygiene kit distributions, and provide referrals for critical care when needed. By addressing both preventive and immediate health needs, we aim to reduce health disparities and promote well-being among the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Winter Support for Vulnerable Communities
During the harsh winter months, GYDO provides critical support to underprivileged families, especially in rural and underserved areas. Through the distribution of warm clothes, blankets, and essential winter items, we help protect children, the elderly, and the homeless from extreme cold. Our winter support drive ensures that no one is left behind when temperatures drop—bringing warmth, comfort, and care to those who need it most.
Skill Development for Self-Reliance
GYDO’s Skill Development programs aim to equip youth and women with practical, income-generating skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship. Through hands-on training in areas such as tailoring, crafting, digital skills, and business development, we empower individuals to build sustainable livelihoods. Our focus is on creating long-term economic independence by turning skills into opportunity.
Digital Safety Campaign for Students
In 2023, GYDO led a major awareness workshop in Chittagong, reaching 100 schools and 300+ participants including students, teachers, and guardians. With strong support from the Metropolitan Police, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, and the Education Minister, the campaign focused on building essential digital literacy and cyber security awareness. It empowered youth and educators to promote safe and responsible digital practices across their communities.
Empowering Women Through Handcrafts
Tararmela trains underprivileged women in sewing, crafting, and hand painting, along with basic entrepreneurship. In 2022, 190 women were trained, with 10 becoming self-employed. A dedicated outlet was also launched to help participants sell their products and earn a sustainable income—promoting both economic independence and self-confidence.
Sustainable Innovation from the Sea
Seaweed BD is a youth-led social enterprise based in Cox’s Bazar, focused on eco-friendly seaweed farming and product development. The initiative trains coastal communities in seaweed cultivation and produces value-added products like seaweed sheets, powders, and polymers. By combining marine sustainability with economic opportunity, Seaweed BD supports both environmental conservation and livelihood creation.
Climate Action: Greening the Future
GYDO promotes environmental awareness through tree plantations, clean-up drives, and community education. Our climate initiatives engage youth and local communities in sustainable practices that combat climate change and protect natural resources—building a healthier, greener future from the grassroots up.
Reducing Inequality: Empowering the Underserved
GYDO is committed to reducing social and economic inequality by providing education, skills training, healthcare, and support services to marginalized groups, including women, children, and the ultra-poor. Our programs aim to create equal opportunities and empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and exclusion.
